• Investment opportunities and financing solutions witnessed by Khafji Investment Forum

    The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asharqia Chamber, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, stressed that Khafji Investment Forum 2019, which is organized by Asharqia Chamber under the patronage of the Prince of the Eastern Region His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz with strategic partnership with Aramco Gulf Business and the Eastern Province Secretariat, aims to highlight the role of Khafji province in achieving the Vision of the Kingdom 2030 through strengthening the role of the private sector as a partner in the national economy and attracting investments to Khafji governorate to maximize the benefits of the governorate's competitive advantages.

     

    Al-Khalidi said that the forum, which is held on the land of the Cultural Center in the province of Khafji on Sunday, April 7, 2019, seeks to consolidate the concept of the eastern region as the capital of the Gulf industry, attracting large Gulf and international investments to the province of Khafji, as well as raising the awareness of the private sector about the most important areas of investment in Khafji through enabling it to make optimal use of the opportunities and comparative advantages of this governorate, in addition to hosting officials and specialists to discuss ways and mechanisms to overcome the challenges facing investment.

     

    Al-Khalidi pointed out that a number of officials will review a number of investment opportunities in the region through the participation of the Secretariat of the Eastern Region, the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage, the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises, the Public Transport Authority, (Modon), and the Saudi Industrial Development Fund.

    He pointed out that the province of Khafji enjoys several advantages between the cities of the region in terms of investment, where it has many investment opportunities in a number of economic activities.

    He noted that the Forum will highlight through the participants on the most important investment opportunities that the business sector can work on it as Khafji is fertile ground for investment.

     

    For his part, Eng. Azab Bin Mohammed Al Qahtani, Chief Executive Officer at Aramco Gulf Business, said that Khafji Governorate has many great potentials and specialized human resources.

    He pointed out that the company senses these characteristics through its advanced work on the economic map of Khafji, in addition to the social initiatives that provided by the company to the people of the province, which revealed many of those potentials that deserve care and attention in support of this outstanding province.​
